To bridge the gap between the outgoing Destinations of Leavers of Higher Education (DLHE) survey and the up coming Graduate Outcomes survey, The Careers and Employability Centre has conducted a survey using many of the same methods employed in the DLHE survey.
Where the old DLHE survey measured outcomes at six months after graduation, the new Graduate Outcomes Survey takes place at fifteen months. This survey took place at six months after graduation in order to replace the data collection that would have taken place under DLHE.
The response rate targets for this survey are in line with what we expect to be collected when The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) conducts the Gradauate Outcomes Survey later in the year.
This report focuses primarily on UK undergraduate leavers and shows their main destinations. Also, it highlights key outcomes, including levels of job, employment sectors, earnings and locations of employment. Where appropriate, data is broken down by academic department. The report illustrates trends using historical data from past Destinations of Leavers of Higher Education surveys (DLHE). Additionally it breaks down outcomes for specific demographic groups, including gender and ethnicity.
To make this report more accessible to users, key facts and figures are described in main body of the report whilst larger datasets are also included giving the reader the data to look at in more detail if they so wish.
The Careers and Employability Centre can also produce bespoke analysis or datasets on request.
Data for previous years’ leavers is available on the Careers & Employability Centre website – www.sussex.ac.uk/careers/whatourgraduatesdo
