The charity and not-for-profit sector aims to have a positive impact on society by improving life for individuals and communities at home and overseas. Roles are available in a wide range of areas, including fundraising, research, operations etc, in charities and non-profit organisations.
Working in this sector can be highly rewarding, however it can be difficult to enter some job roles without prior voluntary experience, and career progression may be more difficult than in the private sector.
