Most organisations, whether in the public, private or not-for-profit sector, perform various business functions like finance, HR and recruitment, procurement and logistics, marketing and sales, and IT. Managers within organisations are responsible for ensuring that business objectives are met and assisting with the day-to-day running of a specific area of the business eg. IT manager or HR manager.
